Maintenance tips

All Orām jewelry is designed in France and carefully manufactured.

Our materials

Designed in France,

Each piece is nickel-free and hypoallergenic, and all materials are exclusive and carefully selected with great attention to detail. Our materials include: 925 sterling silver, 18k gold plated and brass, natural freshwater pearls, pearls and CZ stones.

All Orām jewelry is coated with 3 microns, making the jewelry more durable, but this requires careful use of your jewelry and regular maintenance to preserve its shine.

With proper and precise care, your Orām jewelry can preserve its original beauty for many years. However, please accept that any surface treatment and plating will wear away over time. If you would like to restore the original color and plating of your jewelry, visit your favorite jeweler for replating.

Please see below for a complete guide.

Precautions

Please avoid contact with perfumes, lotions or hair products as they contain chemicals and oils which can accelerate the wear of your parts.

Do not use harsh chemicals, bleach, oil, jewelry cleaners or polishing cloths as this may affect the finish.

After each contact with chlorine or salt water, be sure to rinse your jewelry well with fresh water and dry it with a soft cloth.

When wearing your jewelry Treat your jewelry with care and avoid activities that could expose it to scratches.

To best preserve your jewelry, avoid coming into contact with:

  • Chlorine (swimming pool, jacuzzi)
  • Household or abrasive products
  • Products containing alcohol (polish remover, perfume)
  • Saunas, Hammam

Remove your jewelry before going to bed, taking a shower and washing your hands or any manual activity (especially sports).

In contact with other surfaces, any ring tends to show micro-scratches over time. Repeated, careless contact will accelerate the slippage process.

When storing Store your jewelry in a safe place; keep them in a dry space and avoid storing them in your bathroom, as steam and humidity can affect them.

Store your pieces separately in the jewelry box to avoid scratches and maintain a shiny surface.

When cleaning

Clean your jewelry carefully using a soft, non-abrasive, lint-free cloth to help maintain or regain its shine. If necessary, you can use a mild dishwashing liquid with lukewarm water and a soft toothbrush, then rinse with clean water and pat dry with a soft cloth.

Avoid using polishing baths or abrasive jewelry cleaners, as they contain harsh chemicals that can damage your jewelry over time. We do not recommend the use of jewelry polishing cloths that have been treated with cleaners or polishing agents.

When Polishing Over time, jewelry can tarnish and have an oxidized surface, which can make it darker and less shiny. To avoid this, remember to polish your jewelry regularly with a soft cloth.

If your jewelry is already oxidized, you can clean it by dipping it in a silver bath or, alternatively, in warm soapy water, then carefully polishing it with your cleaning cloth afterwards.
